An endless array of flavors and colors can be added to the basic buttercream to compliment the flavor profile of any chosen cake. In addition to different flavors, there are different techniques and recipes for making butter cream that result in different unique tastes and textures.
These different techniques are what make The Buttercream Bakehouse so special, because we give you the choice for this delicious building block of your cake; therefore further customizing your edible work of art to be truly unique and reflective of your tastes. No one else in the Upstate offers you this level of distinction.
Our different styles of Buttercream include:
American Buttercream: This is the familiar buttercream found in many bakeries. It is our sweetest buttercream; it is easily colored and very popular with the little ones.
Buttermilk Buttercream: This is made with farm fresh buttermilk. It is smooth and silky with a tang, a little less sweet than our American Buttercream.
Italian Meringue Buttercream: This is a deliciously light and airy icing that is good for covering the cake, and can also be delicious as a flavored filling.
French Buttercream: This is a custard-based method, and finishes rich and creamy. Because of the whole eggs and butter in this buttercream, it has slight golden color.
Swiss Meringue Buttercream: This ultra-silky buttercream makes a beautiful covering to cakes and cupcakes. It is less sweet than other types of frosting with a wonderful buttery taste.
White Chocolate Buttercream: Just as the title indicates, this is made with white chocolate and whipped until light and fluffy, truly decadent.
Buttercream is our passion, but it is not the only way we ice a cake!
We use several different mediums, including:
Fondant, a smooth but elastic candy dough that is rolled thin and used to create a smooth and flawless surface. It is available in vanilla and chocolate variations.
Ganache, which is made with heavy cream and chocolate, this icing is smooth and glossy, and is a chocolate lovers delight.[/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]
